Since the end of The Transcontinental Race 2015 (TCR15), I have been quietly hatching my return to win Transcontiental 2016. In honesty, the moment I decided to withdraw from the race (due to my schermers neck) my mind was already moving on to 2016 and how I would enable my return, stronger than ever before. The impression I made during TCR15 has led me to meet some great people. People who want to support me and my return, to win The Transcontiental Race 2016.
Since the end of TCR15, I have been lucky enough to meet Stuart Davies at LJ Partnership. When Stuart, an avid cyclist, heard about TCR15 he volunteered to be a ‘dot watcher’ (monitoring racers and their progress during the race via the GPS tracker website), it was from this ‘dot watching’ that he became enchanted with the race and my progress. After returning from the race, I was able to meet with Stuart, not only has he stepped in with LJ Partnership to support me, but he has also brought on board Bellecapital. With offices across Europe (and keen cyclists too) Bellecapital loved the idea of the Transcontinental Race. It is the support of these two companies and the people working within them, that will enable me to train full time in 2016.
I am really excited by the step up I will be able to make next year, in training and focus. Having the support both of these people and businesses is really inspiring. I am motivated to take their belief in my ability and turn it into my true potential.
